Disclaimer

My legal people say that a disclaimer is a necessary evil given the litigious nature of society today. So here goes:

I am a certified mathematics teacher, but I AM NOT A CERTIFIED FINANCE PROFESSIONAL. I do not hold a CFP or a CPA designation. I’m just a regular guy with the heart of a teacher, a finance degree, stories to share, and a 10-year track record of following the Baby Steps. Oh, did I mention I’m a Dave Ramsey sheep?

I share life experiences of myself and others to tell a story of hope. I offer understanding, provide information, and inject hope for families and individuals looking for meaning on their financial peace journey. I believe that anyone can achieve financial peace following the right plan.

I am a Ramsey Solutions Master Financial Coach, so this site serves to tell my story and the stories of others. It is not to be construed as legal, accounting, or investment advice.

  • Educate yourself. Read LOTS of books.
  • Consult an attorney.
  • Consult a licensed fiduciary before investing.
  • Consult an accountant.

All information contained on this site is true to the best of my knowledge.

Bogus, demeaning, and mean-spirited comments are unacceptable and will be deleted. If you read a post or a comment with which you disagree or find offensive, you are encouraged to post your own comment in order to balance opinion. Remember, however, the purpose of a blog is to start a dialogue and to encourage critical thinking. Reflective and insightful commentary is always welcome!

The views, opinions, and commentary expressed are my own (or my guest poster’s) and do not necessarily represent the views and opinions of my employer(s), my family, my clients, my web host, my colleagues, my students, my students’ parents, my pets, my neighbors, my neighbors’ pets, your next door neighbor’s barber’s landscaper’s ex-wife’s nephew, or anyone else you may know or know of, or be in some way acquainted with.

Without specific permission to share, anecdotal stories have been sufficiently fictionalized, sanitized, and made politically correct enough to offend only the most thin-skinned readers. If that’s you, try marypoppins.com (also fictional). Blogging is storytelling. In these “factional” stories, any similarities to real persons, living or deceased, is purely coincidental.
